Conference Reception

On the evening before classes begin, please join us at a reception where you can pick up your materials for the week, meet us and other participants, and enjoy some refreshments. All participants and their guests are invited.
Guest Reception
Monday, December 6, 2010, 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM
At Western CPE, we want your guests to have as good a time as you do, so we invite them to a reception Monday morning to meet us and other guests. Refreshments will be served, and the hotel concierge will tell everyone about activities in the area. Feel free to bring your children—they may meet someone their age at the conference.
Jersey Boys

How did four blue-collar kids become one of the greatest successes in pop music history? Find out at Broadway’s runaway smash hit, Jersey Boys. This Tony Award-winning Best Musical of 2006 takes you up the charts, across the country, and behind the music of Frankie Valli, Tommy DeVito, Nick Massi, and Bob Gaudio—the Four Seasons. Writers Marshal Brickman and Rick Elice created a captivating story, told through sensational performances and some of the band’s hit songs, including “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Sherry,” “December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night),” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.”
Jersey Boys is playing at the Venetian. Price is for ages 5 and up and includes show, taxes, and handling fees. Transportation is not provided.
Cirque du Soleil Viva ELVIS

Viva ELVIS, a harmonious fusion of dance, acrobatics, and live music, is a tribute to the life and music of Elvis Presley. Nostalgia, modernity, and raw emotion provide the backdrop for his immortal voice and the exhilaration and beauty of his music. Created in the image of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll—powerful, whimsical, truly unique, and larger than life—the show highlights an American icon who transformed popular music and whose image embodies the freedom, excitement, and turbulence of his era.
Viva ELVIS is playing at the Aria Resort in the new City Center. Price is for ages 5 and up and includes show, taxes, and handling fees. Transportation is not provided.
Cirque du Soleil Mystère
Wednesday, December 8, 2010, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Cirque du Soleil brings its special blend of music, athleticism, and exotic costumes to the stage in Mystère. Honored eight times as “Best Production Show” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Mystère has an international cast of 72 performers, featuring dancers, singers, musicians, and champion-caliber acrobats. Come and enjoy this exotic production where fantasy comes to life. The Chicago Tribune called Mystère “one of the most innovative and exciting shows to be seen anywhere.”
Mystère will be playing at Treasure Island. Price includes show, taxes, ticketing fees and handling fees. Transportation is not provided.
